Hillebrand's 29-Point Performance Powers Scranton Prep Past Valley View

ARCHBALD, PA – The Scranton Prep Classics continued their dominant season with a convincing 72-45 victory over the Valley View Lady Cougars on Monday night at The Den. Led by Jenna Hillebrand’s explosive 29-point performance, Scranton Prep (18-1, 11-0) secured at least a share of the Lackawanna Division I championship with three games remaining.
Hillebrand wasted no time, scoring 12 points in the opening quarter to set the tone for the Classics. She remained relentless throughout the game, adding nine points in the third and another eight in the fourth to cap off a stellar night.
Chloe Mamera provided a strong secondary scoring presence, contributing 14 points, while Claire McGrath added 12, including six in the final frame.
For Valley View (16-3, 8-3), Cora Castellani led the way with 13 points, making her presence felt from the free-throw line by knocking down nine shots. Ashlan Palickar followed closely with 11 points, while Ava Gazoo chipped in eight.
Scranton Prep’s solid shooting and defensive pressure proved too much for Valley View, as the Classics knocked down nine three-pointers and held the Cougars to just four points in the second quarter. With another dominant win, Prep inches closer to an undefeated league campaign.
