JESSUP — A seven-run third inning helped Green Ridge break things open en route to an 11-0 victory over Wallenpaupack in a District 32 Majors Division contest Thursday at the Jessup Youth Sports Complex.

Green Ridge pushed across three runs in the second to get on the board, then erupted in the third with a mix of timely hitting and patient at-bats. Brian M. sparked the surge with an RBI double, while Sebastian L., Matty M., and Patrick F. each added run-scoring hits. Additional runs came on a groundout, a wild pitch, and a bases-loaded walk.

On the mound, Brian M. delivered a strong outing, tossing 3.2 shutout innings and allowing just two hits while striking out two. Green Ridge’s defense played error-free behind him.

At the plate, Green Ridge totaled 10 hits, with Jack T. and Sebastian L. each recording multi-hit performances. Brian M. drove in two runs and reached base twice.

Wallenpaupack was limited to two hits in the game, one apiece from Carmine F. and Patrick D.

The win moves Green Ridge forward in District 32 Majors play as they'll advance to the double elimination tournament to battle it out for the District title, but host one most game in pool play Saturday at home.
