Jack Herron, a sophomore at Christopher Newport University, is a name well known in Pennsylvania lacrosse history and he's only getting started. He is a finance major at one of the top Division III lacrosse programs in the country. Jack brings the same focus to the classroom that he does to the lacrosse field.

Before making waves at CNU, Jack starred at Wyoming Seminary, where he rewrote the record books as Pennsylvania’s all-time leader in goals and total points. His high school résumé includes First Team All-Conference honors and the prestigious title of All-American.

At the collegiate level, Jack has found a true home at CNU. This past season, the team made a deep run to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament, and Jack has his sights set even higher, hoping for a Final Four appearance next season.

But the path hasn’t been without setbacks. This season, Jack battled a foot injury that tested him both physically and mentally. The journey back to full health was demanding, but he credits his coaches and longtime mentor Matt Flanagan for helping him stay grounded and resilient through it all.

Jack draws much of his inspiration from his older brother, who introduced him to the game and constantly pushed him to sharpen his skills. That early guidance helped shape Jack into one of the most accomplished high school players Pennsylvania has ever seen and a rising star at the collegiate level.

After his playing days, Jack plans to enter the world of finance, while staying closely connected to lacrosse. One of his biggest goals is to mentor and support the next generation of players, especially those from smaller programs, by providing skill development and resources to help them grow.
