Bethlehem, PA — The Five Star Heart Project, founded by Executive Director, Robert McClarin, and the Dawkins Family Foundation are teaming up to host a dynamic and free youth football clinic on Sunday, July 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at BASD Stadium in Bethlehem.
The event is presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network and is open to athletes entering 5th through 8th grade.
Rooted in heart and built on hustle, the Five Star Heart Football Clinic returns to the Lehigh Valley with a dynamic new partnership between McClarin and Penn State captain Nick Dawkins.
This free youth clinic blends elite-level instruction, character-building competition, and powerful community connection—all designed to inspire the next generation of leaders both on and off the field.
McClarin, a former Navy football player and passionate advocate for youth development, launched the Five Star Heart Project in 2013 with a vision to use football as a tool to shape character and opportunity. That inaugural year featured a chartered trip for clinic participants to Navy and the University of Maryland—laying the foundation for what has become one of the Lehigh Valley’s most impactful athletic traditions.
This summer’s clinic brings McClarin together with Nick Dawkins, a Penn State team captain, a former Parkland Trojan, and a standout leader, whose commitment to excellence and service makes him the ideal co-host for this next chapter in the clinic’s growth.
Clinic Highlights Include:
A signature tradition of every Five Star Heart event, the clinic also features “Sprints for a Veteran Organization,” designed to reinforce discipline, gratitude, and giving back through competition with purpose.
The clinic wraps up with a scholarship and awards presentation, and all athletes will receive a free lunch. Over 25 current college football players, along with Dawkins and LVHN’s Impact Athletes, will provide instruction, mentorship, and high-energy guidance throughout the day.
Interested athletes and families can register by scanning the QR code on the official event flyer (see below).
