Springville, PA -- Elk Lake, the top seed in District 2 2A, held off a late push from No. 4 Holy Cross to secure a hard-fought 46-40 victory. The Lady Warriors leaned on balanced scoring, with Katie McGlynn leading the charge with 13 points, while Leah Traver added 11, including two crucial three-pointers.

Mollie Urban was the standout for Holy Cross, pouring in a game-high 16 points and connecting on three shots from beyond the arc. Ava Schmidt provided additional scoring support with 13 points, but the Crusaders couldn’t overcome Elk Lake’s early lead.

Elk Lake outpaced Holy Cross in three-point shooting, knocking down five triples compared to their opponent’s three. Despite a fourth-quarter surge from the Crusaders, Elk Lake’s defense held firm, limiting Holy Cross to just 40 points.

The win sets up a highly anticipated championship battle, as No. 1 Elk Lake will face off against No. 2 Mountain View at Mohegan Arena on Friday at 4 p.m.
