Friday night at Elk Lake High School was about more than just basketball—it was a night to rally together for a cause. The Warriors secured a 75-51 victory over the Blue Ridge Raiders in a game that helped raise funds and awareness for the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative.

Elk Lake set the tone early, using a dominant second quarter to take control. Chase Pond led the charge with 20 points, knocking down four three-pointers to ignite the home crowd. Logan Ayotte contributed 15 points, while Kendal Jones added 12, helping the Warriors maintain their momentum throughout the game.

Blue Ridge showed resilience, battling back with a strong third quarter. Gehrig Dibble led the Raiders with 17 points, including three three-pointers. Brayden Smith and Paxton Pingarelli each added 13 points, but Elk Lake’s depth and defense proved too much to overcome.

While Elk Lake claimed the win on the court, the night’s biggest success was the impact made off of it. The players, coaches, and fans came together to support a meaningful cause, showing the power of sports to bring communities together.
