Easton, PA – May 1, 2025 — In a closely contested battle between two talented squads, Easton emerged with a narrow 4-3 victory over Bethlehem Catholic (BCHS) on Tuesday afternoon. Backed by timely hitting and consistent scoring through the middle innings, Easton held off a late push by the Golden Hawks to secure the win.
Easton struck first in the bottom of the second inning, plating a run to gain an early 1-0 lead. They extended that advantage in the third with a two-run rally that proved critical in the game's outcome. A final insurance run in the sixth inning brought their total to four on the day.
BCHS responded with some firepower of their own in the fourth inning. Bryce Blawn delivered a spark, launching a home run that accounted for two of the Golden Hawks' runs. Blawn finished the day with two RBIs, a run scored, and both of BCHS’s hits. BCHS added another run in the sixth inning to tighten the gap, but Easton’s pitching and defense held strong in the final frame to seal the win.
Easton totaled six hits, compared to Bethlehem Catholic’s two. Leadoff hitter Khamryn Singto led the charge with two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Extra-base hits also came from K. Crossman, who doubled, while M. Stout contributed an RBI single. Chase Shollenberger added two RBIs on the day, and M. Martenis chipped in with a hit of his own.
The game showcased strong performances on both sides, but Easton’s ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities ultimately made the difference.
Easton improves their record with the win, while BCHS looks to regroup and build on the positives from a competitive outing.
