Lake-Lehman High School Graduate | Incoming Mercy University Student-Athlete
Ella Wilson is a dual-sport standout from Lake-Lehman High School. She has made a name for herself as one of Pennsylvania’s most dynamic and driven student-athletes. On the basketball court, she was named coach’s Player of the Year and earned 3rd Team All-State honors. While on the volleyball court, she went even further becoming a 3x All-State selection three consecutive years.
Her achievements extend far beyond athletics. She is also a member of the National Honor Society with a flawless 4.0 GPA. Ella is a model of what it means to be both a student and athlete. In the near future she plans to bring that same level of excellence to her next chapter at Mercy University, where she plans to major in Physical Therapy.
Ella’s collegiate goals are bold and clear: earn a starting position and claim Rookie of the Year honors. Her mindset is driven, determined, and ready for success. As she prepares for this next phase, she always remembers her favorite quote: "In the blink of an eye everything can change. Embrace the now."
Ella’s story is also one of courage. Living with Type 1 diabetes, she has never let the condition define or limit her. Instead, it fuels her persistence. Ella hopes to stay involved in both basketball and volleyball beyond college, potentially stepping into a coaching role where she can give back to the sports that shaped her.
