District XI Week 4 Rankings: Friday Night Statements set up No 1 vs No 2

Week 4 delivered everything—first-quarter blitzes, late daggers, and ground games that wouldn’t quit. With Tony Sibilla (Penn Sports Radio) and Keith Groller (The Morning Call) sorting the chaos, here’s how District XI stacks up heading into a massive slate.


Big School Rankings – Week 4

1. Parkland (4–0)

Parkland sprinted to a 28–0 first-quarter lead and cruised past Pleasant Valley, 58–13. Finn Coen went 7-for-7 for 124 yards and a TD, and the Trojans ran just 27 plays for 323 yards. A No. 1 vs. No. 2 clash at Nazareth awaits in Week 5.

2. Nazareth (4–0)

Peyton Falzone completed 14/20 in the first half for 327 yards and two TDs, added 42 rushing yards and a score, and led a 56–21 win over Freedom before exiting with a broken clavicle. The Blue Eagles host Parkland next in an EPC blockbuster.

3. Southern Lehigh (4–0)

Sean Steckert bulldozed North Schuylkill for 221 yards and 3 TDs in a 34–14 victory. The Spartans scored on their first three possessions and host Pottsville in Week 5.

4. Easton (4–0)

Chris Martinez ran 29 times for 185 yards, while QB Cole Ordway added 97 rushing yards and two TD passes in a 35–9 romp of Bethlehem Catholic. Emmaus visits next.

5. Liberty (3–1)

Gabe Green’s late TD sealed a 41–34 win over Northampton. Antonio Fontanez tossed five TDs. Dieruff is on deck.

6. Whitehall (3–1)

The Zephyrs handled Pocono Mountain West, 45–13—second win since the Nazareth loss. Northampton is next.

7. Northampton (2–2)

Chase Kessler carried 30 times for 159 yards and 3 TDs; Zander Rickert added 122 yards and 2 TDs in a 41–34 loss to Liberty. Whitehall in Week 5 looms.

8. Bethlehem Catholic (3–1)

Cayden Vassa rushed for 95 yards and a TD, but the Hawks fell to Easton. They’ll try to rebound against Central Catholic.

9. Emmaus (2–2)

Jay Santos ran for 124 yards and two scores; Jerek Cooper added 158 rushing yards and a TD in a 48–10 win over Stroudsburg. Trip to Easton next.

10. Freedom (1–3)

Lashawn Johnson posted 162 yards and a TD on 27 carries; Jahaie Hughes added a TD and Michael Stofanak threw for 190 yards, but it wasn’t enough vs. Nazareth. Allen awaits.

On the Outside Looking In: Allentown Central Catholic (2–2), Pocono Mountain West (3–1), Pocono Mountain East (3–1)


Small School Rankings – Week 4

1. Northwestern Lehigh (4–0)

The Tigers escaped Blue Mountain, 34–28, behind Braxton Lakatosh’s 157 yards and a 67-yard TD. Lehighton is next.

2. Notre Dame–Green Pond (4–0)

The Crusaders kept the pedal down in a 55–13 win over Saucon Valley. Aaron Gordon ran for 89 yards and 3 TDs; Matt Bodnar threw two more. NDGP hosts Catasauqua in Week 5.

3. Palisades (4–0)

Jack Trickel threw for 203 yards and two TDs, and the defense blanked Northern Lehigh after halftime in a 28–14 win. Pirates head to Pen Argyl on Saturday.

4. Williams Valley (4–0)

Ground-and-pound classic: Fletcher Thompson (166, 2 TDs) and Brady Shomper (125, 3 TDs) powered a 43–40 track meet over Minersville. Tri-Valley is up next.

5. Schuylkill Haven (4–0)

Colton Reber ripped 206 yards and 4 TDs; Niko Castillo also scored four times in a 69–0 rout of Mahanoy Area. Haven hosts Minersville Thursday and will be without injured leading rusher Niko Carestia.

6. North Schuylkill (2–2)

Couldn’t slow Southern Lehigh’s Sean Steckert (221, 3 TDs) and fell 34–14. Jim Thorpe visits in Week 5.

7. Catasauqua (3–1)

Rough Riders rolled Salisbury, 33–7. A real meter-check comes at NDGP this week.

8. Pen Argyl (3–1)

Handled Wilson Area, 35–6. Mason Soos threw for 151 yards and 3 TDs. Palisades is next.

9. Northern Lehigh (2–2)

Grady Newhard ran for 62 yards and a TD, but the Bulldogs were shut out after halftime in a 28–14 loss to Palisades. Palmerton arrives in Week 5.

10. Minersville (3–1)

Dante Carr did everything—179 rushing yards and 3 TDs plus 217 passing yards and 3 TDs—but the Battlin’ Miners fell in the shootout with Williams Valley. Schuylkill Haven awaits.

On the Outside Looking In: Marian Catholic (4–0) — Wins over Panther Valley (3A) and Shenandoah Valley (2A); Rory Dixon ran for 140 yards and 3 TDs vs. Blue Devils. Mahanoy Area next. Top-10 push coming?
