If Week 2 cracked the surface, Week 4 has fully turned the District IV football rankings on their head. Powerhouses have stumbled, underdogs are surging, and the once-settled top 5s are anything but stable. From stunning upsets to teams peaking at the right time, the midway point of the season has brought chaos—and clarity.
1. Troy (Last Rank: #3)
The Trojans are back on top. After a brief slide in Week 2, Troy has rebounded with conviction, reclaiming the #1 spot. Their physicality and depth are once again setting the standard in District IV.
2. Southern Columbia (Last Rank: #4)
No longer treading water, the Tigers are roaring. After holding steady earlier this season, Southern Columbia is finding its rhythm—just in time for the home stretch.
3. Bloomsburg (Last Rank: #5)
The Panthers continue to climb. Their ascent isn’t just about winning—it’s about how they’re winning. Gritty, smart football has Bloomsburg playing like a serious postseason threat.
4. Mifflinburg (Last Rank: #6)
This team just keeps improving. Mifflinburg's offensive balance and defensive consistency are turning heads. Don’t be surprised if they crack the top 3 soon.
5. Line Mountain (Last Rank: #7)
Defense wins games, and Line Mountain’s has been lights-out. Up two spots, the Eagles are thriving in tight matchups and proving they belong among the elite.
6. North Penn-Mansfield (Last Rank: #8)
Still trending upward, the Panthers have stayed sharp and efficient. With key wins and a disciplined game plan, they remain one of the season's breakout teams.
7. Warrior Run (Last Rank: #1)
A dramatic drop from the top. After riding high through Week 2, the Defenders have stumbled. There’s still talent here, but recent losses have exposed vulnerabilities.
8. Montoursville (Last Rank: #2)
Another big fall. The Warriors haven’t looked the same since their early momentum. Back-to-back tough outings have raised questions about consistency.
9. Muncy (Last Rank: #9)
Still holding firm. Muncy hasn’t made a big leap, but they’re staying in the hunt. Their veteran leadership is keeping them competitive every week.
10. Montgomery (New)
A fresh face rounds out the top 10. Montgomery has battled its way into the rankings thanks to clutch performances and a team-first mindset.
Dropped Out:
Canton (Last Rank: #10) – Once considered a contender, the Warriors slide out after another tough loss.
1. Shamokin (Last Rank: #1)
Still the team to beat. Shamokin continues to dominate all phases of the game. Until someone knocks them off, this spot is theirs.
2. Jersey Shore (Last Rank: #2)
The Bulldogs remain relentless. They’re putting pressure on Shamokin weekly and showing playoff-level focus already.
3. Shikellamy (Last Rank: #5)
One of the week’s biggest risers. The Braves jump into the top 3 with a statement win and look every bit like a team hitting its stride.
4. Williamsport (Last Rank: #3)
The Millionaires drop a spot but aren’t out of the picture. If they clean up penalties and sharpen their execution, they’ll be back in the top tier soon.
5. Athens (Last Rank: #4)
Sliding slightly, but still solid. Athens hasn’t been flashy, but they’ve remained in games and have the foundation to stay competitive down the stretch.
Week 4 has officially redefined the pecking order in District IV. Troy has reclaimed the throne, Southern Columbia is surging, and early darlings like Warrior Run and Montoursville are reeling. Meanwhile, Bloomsburg, Mifflinburg, and Line Mountain are capitalizing on their moment.
In the large-school bracket, Shamokin’s dominance continues, but Jersey Shore and a rising Shikellamy are lurking. Expect even more fireworks as we head deeper into conference play.
As always, stay tuned for next week’s rankings—brought to you by Coach’s Health and Fitness, where champions are built and contenders are conditioned. Coach Lon Hazlet and his team continue to push the standard of excellence—on and off the field.
District IV may have its favorites, but in this wild 2025 season, nothing is guaranteed once the lights come on Friday night.
