Tunkhannock 15, Montrose 10
Tunkhannock broke its three game losing streak, meaning their preseason goal of finishing at least .500 is still in play. It was a defensive duel that featured three total interceptions and a safety. Moses Montero was the offense for the Tigers, rushing for 91 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.
Berwick 63, Williamsport 19
Ty’Meere Wilkerson put up video game numbers, rushing for 390 yards and five touchdowns. The Bulldogs will be heavy favorites in their next two games and are closing in on the No. 1 seed in the 3A playoffs.
Lakeland 40, Western Wayne 14
The Chiefs dominated in every aspect of the game, and had a 40-0 lead entering the fourth quarter. Chase Rosenkrans and Jackson Pochas hauled in a combined six passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns. The Chiefs currently hold the No. 1 seed in 2A.
Pittston Area 49, Hazleton 13
The Patriots won their first division title in over 20 years in one of the most historic nights in program history. Lucas LoPresto set three school records in the game, and now has the most career receptions, yards and touchdowns in program history.
Scranton Prep 35, Mid Valley 0
Scranton Prep recorded its second shutout in three straight games, which gives them momentum going into a tough two game stretch to finish the year. Will McPartland continues to lead the Cavaliers offense, rushing for 77 yards and three touchdowns
Hanover Area 63, Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech 0
Hanover Area put this one away early, taking a 42-0 lead after the first quarter. Dawin and Dewayne Downey were the stars, where they rushed for 142 yards and six touchdowns.
Montgomery 57, Holy Redeemer 6
The Royals had a tough task this week and were unable to slow down a red hot Montgomery offense. Mike Zbierski had the lone touchdown for Holy Redeemer.
Honesdale 56, Nanticoke 21
Honesdale pounded the rock and did it effectively, as Kobe White rushed for 117 yards and three scores and Gabe Duda ran for 135 yards and a score of his own. Ian Walsh helped the Trojans keep it respectable, rushing for 101 yards and throwing two touchdown passes.
Riverside 55, Carbondale 7
Riverside handled business quickly as they held a 41-0 lead at halftime. Charlie Anstett led the Vikings attack, rushing for 142 yards and three touchdowns.
Wyoming Area 28, Lake-Lehman 0
Wyoming Area went to the Jim Harbaugh school of running the ball at the opponent to drain their energy. They had two rushers surpass 100 yards on the ground and the defense posted their third shutout of the season.
North Pocono 37, Scranton 14
North Pocono continued its undefeated season and will face two tough opponents over the next two weeks. Josiah Gray had a star making performance with 111 rushing yards and two touchdowns on only 10 carries.
Abington Heights 31, Wallenpaupack 14
Abington Heights started off slow, but Jayden Anglin got them going with a 178 rushing yard and two touchdown performance. The Comets won again without star quarterback Nick Bradley and kept themselves in the running for the No. 1 seed in 5A.
Dunmore 42, West Scranton 7
Dunmore won this one via the passing game, a different look from their trademark Wing T offense, as Weston Yannone threw for 126 yards and three touchdowns. Yannone also added 58 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown on top.
Dallas 7, Crestwood 0
Dallas won the game with its defense as Tyce Mason recorded an interception for the second straight game. The Mountaineers are 3-5 but have faced the toughest schedule in the district, which may help them come playoff time.
Delaware Valley 41, Valley View 0
Delaware Valley won its fourth straight game to get back to .500 and had their best defensive showing of the season as they shut out the Cougars. The offense was humming along as Colin McGarvey threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns against one of the better defenses in the LFC.
Wilkes-Barre 49, Wyoming Valley West 0
Wilkes-Barre remained undefeated against Wyoming Valley West and Jake Howe became the WVC all-time touchdown passes leader with 66 for his career. It was part of a 192 yard four touchdown passing day for the incredibly accomplished senior.
Lackawanna Trail 54, Susquehanna 14
Isaac Ryon continued his dominant season with 188 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Sean Dwyer had a big day with 73 yards and two touchdowns on only three carries.
Old Forge 20, Holy Cross 6
Old Forge won its second straight game and continued their undefeated streak against Holy Cross. Wide receivers Chris Rasmus and Ayden Aversa were the headliners, hauling in 69 and 145 receiving yards respectively and each catching a touchdown.
