Delaware Valley 55, Long Island Lutheran (NY) 34
Delaware Valley won its third straight game thanks to another stellar offensive performance where they moved the ball for over 500 yards. Quarterback Colin McGarvey threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns and running back Mike Iuzzolino rushed for 211 yards and four touchdowns.
Dunmore 35, Mid Valley 13
Dunmore got back in the win column and has a chance to get some momentum going into the district playoffs thanks to a light schedule featuring three opponents who all have two wins each. The Bucks rushed for over 250 yards and Ryan Mecca was the leader with 125 yards and four scores.
Dallas 35, Wyoming Valley West 13
Dallas won its second game of the season thanks to Sam Kelley, who rushed for 180 yards and four touchdowns. The Mountaineers also played shutdown defense with four interceptions, two of which came from sophomore cornerback Tyce Mason.
Crestwood 42, Hazleton 15
Crestwood pulled off a much needed win for playoff seeding, especially with games against Dallas and Wilkes-Barre Area on the horizon. Jaden Shedlock set the pace with 112 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Riverside 58, Holy Cross 6
This marked the third straight game that Riverside scored at least 50 points. Brayden Rose has been one of the best quarterbacks in the district, accounting for six total touchdowns, two through the air and four on the ground.
Berwick 42, Nanticoke 16
This game was over by halftime when Berwick was already up 42-0. The Bulldogs once again leaned on the ground game and more specifically Ty’Meere Wilkerson, who rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns to his already impressive season totals.
Pittston Area 31, Wilkes-Barre 24
The Patriots are in the midst of a truly magical season, and knocked off the preseason division favorites at home. Brody Spindler and Lucas LoPresto accounted for two touchdowns each and the Patriots can clinch the division title outright with a win at home next week.
West Scranton 28, Western Wayne 7
West Scranton got its first win since week one and much like that game, did it on the road and held their opponent to seven points. Dayron Groves rushed for 119 yards and two scores as the Invaders scored a crucial win in their push to make the playoffs.
North Pocono 42, Valley View 10
This game was 7-3 North Pocono with two minutes in the first half, then Cole West got a pick six to end the first half and kick return touchdown to open the second half. The Trojans are having a special season and likely secured the No. 1 seed in the 4A playoffs with this win.
Lackawanna Trail 35, Carbondale 7
Lackawanna Trail took care of business and Isaac Ryon led the way with 223 rushing yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. The Lions will be heavy favorites the next two weeks before a Week 10 showdown with Riverside that could decide the LFC Division III champion.
Abington Heights 17, Scranton Prep 15
Abington Heights won without star quarterback Nick Bradley thanks to a game-winning 30-yard field goal by Jack Hartshorn. Hartshorn beat his former team in a game that the Comets needed to win to stop their two game losing streak.
Wyoming Area 49, Hanover Area 14
The three-headed monster of Nick Ciampi, Jack Gravine and Trustin Johnson combined for over 200 rushing yards and four touchdowns for Wyoming Area. Thanks to their win and teams around them in the playoff picture losing, the Warriors moved to the No. 2 seed in the 3A playoffs.
Wallenpaupack 35, Scranton 7
Wallenpaupack leaned on the ground game effectively in its win, with Ed Kiesendahl rushing for 152 yards and four touchdowns. All three of the Buckhorns wins have come when the team has scored 30 points or more.
Old Forge 30, Susquehanna 0
Old Forge picked up its first win over the season with a shutout win over still winless Susquehanna. Quarterback Robby Solfanelli had one of his best games this year, passing for 243 yards and two touchdowns.
Lake-Lehman 26, Tunkhannock 13
Lake-Lehman won its third straight game to get over .500 for the first time this season. Jaydon Skipalis had an excellent game as he rushed for 162 yards and three scores.
Lakeland 31, Honesdale 6
After going down 6-0 in the first quarter, Lakeland went on to score 31 unanswered points in another dominant win. The Chiefs rushed for over 270 yards as team and scored three of their four touchdowns on the ground.
Montrose 30, Holy Redeemer 25
Montrose got their second win of the season in a rivalry game on the road. Cason Petrak and Sawyer Aukema rushed for a combined 353 yards and had one touchdown each.
