District 2 Delivers in Shippensburg: A Championship Weekend Full of Medals

Despite battling rain, wind, and cold over the course of the two-day PIAA State Track & Field Championships at Shippensburg University, District 2 athletes rose above the elements and delivered medal-winning performances across multiple events. In a state as vast and competitive as Pennsylvania, with talent pouring in from every region, District 2 stood tall—capturing top-eight finishes in sprints, hurdles, relays, jumps, and throws.


Here’s a comprehensive breakdown of all the District 2 athletes who reached the podium:


AAA Medalists

  • Julia Natitus (Dallas) – 4th in Girls 100m Hurdles, 5th in Girls 300m Hurdles

  • Hunter Pitcavage (Dallas) – 8th in Boys Javelin Throw

  • Timothy Leonard (Wilkes-Barre Area) – 6th in Boys 100m Dash

  • Nevaeh Baran (Greater Nanticoke) – 3rd in Girls Long Jump, 4th in Girls Triple Jump

  • Sophia Shults (Hazleton Area) – 8th in Girls Triple Jump

  • Darren Seiwell (Hazleton Area) – 4th in Boys Pole Vault


AA Medalists

  • Kaylyn Davis (Lakeland) – 3rd in Girls Javelin Throw

  • Gianna Tewksbury (Elk Lake) – 4th in Girls Discus Throw

  • Natalie Talluto (Mid Valley) – 4th in Girls 100m Hurdles

  • Kendal Jones (Elk Lake) – 6th in Boys 3200m Run

  • Kevin Vincent (Holy Cross) – 7th in Boys Triple Jump

  • Josh Dudick (Dunmore) – 7th in Boys High Jump

  • Cole Fangio (Dunmore) – 5th in Boys 300m Hurdles

  • Dunmore 4x400m Relay – 5th in Boys 4x400m Relay

  • Lake-Lehman 4x800m Relay – 3rd in Boys 4x800m Relay
