Delaware Valley Outlasts Wallenpaupack in League Thriller

Delaware Valley edged out Wallenpaupack 62-60 in a thrilling Lackawanna League Division II matchup. Trey Newton led the way for Delaware Valley with 16 points, including a perfect 8-for-8 performance at the free-throw line. Sam Wood and Isaiah Berrios each added 13 points, with Wood hitting three three-pointers to bolster the Warriors' attack.
Wallenpaupack's Justin Blanding put up a game-high 24 points, draining three shots from beyond the arc and converting all seven of his free throw attempts. Frank Church followed with 15 points, including five three-pointers, while Diego Adams contributed 10.
Both teams showcased strong perimeter shooting, with Delaware Valley hitting 11 three-pointers compared to Wallenpaupack’s nine. The Warriors’ second-half surge, fueled by a 22-point third quarter, proved to be the difference as they held off a late push by Wallenpaupack in the final minutes.
