Molly Walsh, one of the top basketball players in District 2, has officially been cleared to return to play after missing her junior season due to a torn ACL.
Walsh had an outstanding start to her high school career at Dallas High School, scoring over 900 points in just her freshman and sophomore seasons. Her dominance on the court and consistent impact quickly made her one of the most respected and high-profile players in the region.
Her junior year was cut short before it began, when she suffered an ACL tear during AAU season. But rather than let the injury define her, Molly committed fully to her recovery.
Over the past several months, she has followed a focused and progressive return-to-play plan with myself, Matt Flanagan, and Dr. Ian Stout, training three to four times a week—and sometimes more—to rebuild strength, movement quality, and confidence on the court.
Now officially cleared, Walsh could be returning to action very shortly, with new AAU team NEPA Elite, before her highly anticipated senior season. After all she’s overcome, fans across District 2 are eager to see one of its top talents back on the court.
