Dallas edges Valley View in back-and-forth Class 3A quarterfinal

At the Dallas Mountaineer Complex, No. 3 Dallas held off No. 6 Valley View, 3-2, in a tightly contested District 2 Class 3A quarterfinal.

Myer Casey-Williams scored twice, and Abe Hobson-Tomascik added a goal for the Mountaineers. Assists came from David DaSilva and Luke Tellis as Dallas (12-6-1) advanced to face the winner of No. 2 North Pocono and No. 7 Crestwood in Tuesday’s semifinal.

Valley View (9-10) fought back from an early deficit as Braden Loff converted a penalty kick, then assisted on Ethan Namlick’s goal to tie the match at 2-2. However, Dallas responded just 30 seconds later with what proved to be the game-winner, ending the Cougars’ season in a hard-fought battle.
