Crestwood Takes Road Victory at Nanticoke

Crestwood looked to break the game open, and Chase Gaella hit a single to score two runs as the Comets secured a 6-2 victory over Nanticoke at Major League Field. Jaxon Fedak pitched four innings, striking out nine, while Paul Feisel and Connor Wagaman combined for three scoreless innings to seal the win.
Jack Rodgers started the game with a bunt single and then stole second base. Connor Wagaman followed with a double to score Rodgers, giving Crestwood a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. The score remained 1-0 until the top of the third inning when Ethan Ball led off with a walk and advanced to third on an errant pickoff throw. Shemanski then brought home Ball after reaching on an error, tying the game at 1.
Zach Stavish hit a one-out single, followed by Chris Litchkofski doubling to move Stavish to third. Caleb McManus then hit a single to score Stavish, making it 2-1 Crestwood. Litchkofski advanced to third. After a groundout, Chase Gaella delivered a clutch single to bring home two runs, extending the Crestwood lead to 4-1.
Raggi led off with a walk, and after Fedak struck out the next two batters, Ethan Ball singled to move Raggi to third. Raggi then scored on a passed ball, cutting the lead to 4-2. The score remained 4-2 until the top of the seventh inning. Fedak hit a double to score Rodgers and Domzalski, pushing the final score to 6-2 in favor of Crestwood.
Crestwood improves to 4-4 and will travel to Dallas at PNC Field on Saturday.
Nanticoke drops to 1-6 on the season and will play at Valley West.
