After an 18-0 run by Lake-Lehman that spanned the first and second quarter, Crestwood was down nine. The Lady Comets slowly chipped away at the lead and took a short lead early in the third quarter. Crestwood trailed as much as seven in the fourth quarter but ended up not allowing any more Lake-Lehman points as Charlie Hiller had a team-high 13 points including a putback basket with 26 seconds left and Kate Gallagher added 10 points as the Lady Comets advanced to the WVC Finals with a 48-45 victory over Lake-Lehman.
The Lady Comets built up an 9-2 lead early in the first quarter and had a nine point lead. The Lady Knights ended the first quarter with a 7-0 run and only trailed 16–14 at the end of the first quarter. Lake-Lehman continued their run and increased to up to an 18-0 run to make it a nine point game. However, Crestwood went on a 10-0 run just before halftime but the Lady Knights got a basket from Ella Wilson to make it 27-26.
Lake-Lehman got the lead from free throws by Kinley Purdy but the Lady Comets tied the game up several times. The Lady Knights lead 38-37 at the end of the world. Lake-Lehman got baskets by Purdy and Kathryn Morgan to increase the lead up to 42-36. After a Kendall Petrosky basket. Olivia Oliver got a three pointer to make it 45-38. A three pointer by Jackie Gallagher and a basket by Jordan Andrews to make it 45-41. With 30.9 to go, Charlie Hiller for rebound to give Crestwood a 46-45 lead with 26 seconds left. On Lake-Lake-Lehman got the lead from free throws by Kinley Purdy but the Lady Comets tied the game up several times. With 30.9 second left in the ensuring possession. Charlie Hiller got a basket with 26.0 seconds. On the ensuing possession, Lake-Lehman got called for a jump ball and the arrow went to Crestwood. Jordan Andrews hit a pair of free throws to increase the lead to 48-45. Lake-Lehman’s final chance is stopped as Crestwood advanced to play Hazleton Area in the WVC Championship on Saturday at noon. Kathryn Morgan had a team high 16 points and Ella Wilson added 15 for Lake-Lehman.
