Crestwood claimed the District Championship in boys lacrosse on Wednesday with an impressive 12-6 victory over Scranton Prep on Prep’s home field.
Kevin Schlude led the way for the Comets, scoring 4 goals and adding an assist in the title-winning performance. Ashton Ahmend added 3 goals and 1 assist, while Caleb Eisenhauer also netted 3 goals. Gianni Picolotti and Logan Lawson each scored once, and Jack Augustine set the tempo on offense with 4 assists.
Crestwood controlled the faceoff game, winning 16 draws compared to Prep’s 10, with Logan Lawson leading the effort at the X. The possession advantage proved crucial as Crestwood maintained steady offensive pressure throughout.
In goal, Ethan Zabroski delivered a standout performance with 15 saves to shut down Prep’s scoring chances. Scranton Prep’s James Stallman finished with 8 saves.
Defensively, Crestwood was anchored by the efforts of Jacob Jeckell and Brady Davidson, who played key roles in limiting Prep’s offensive looks and securing the championship win.
With the district crown secured, Crestwood will look to carry its momentum into the state playoffs.
