Scranton Prep Dominates on Senior Night, Defeats Wallenpaupack 72-38
The Scranton Prep Classics celebrated Senior Night with a commanding 72-38 victory over Wallenpaupack, closing out an undefeated league season (14-0) and improving to 21-1 overall. The night honored six seniors: Maya Jenkins, Bella Dennebaum, Ashlyn Moore, Jenna Hillebrand, Claire McGrath, and Team Manager Ely Lawler.
Jenna Hillebrand and Maya Jenkins stole the show, each scoring 19 points. Jenkins was particularly lethal from beyond the arc, sinking three 3-pointers, while Hillebrand added one from downtown. Chloe Mamera contributed 12 points, showcasing her consistent offensive presence.
Scranton Prep’s 3-point shooting played a pivotal role, with the team nailing six triples compared to Wallenpaupack’s three. Wallenpaupack’s Lily Mancino led her squad with 11 points, while Ella Smith added 10 in a valiant effort.
The Classics head into the District 2 Class 4A playoffs as the No. 1 seed, poised to defend their championship title.
