The Classics Girls Basketball Camp is set to return this summer, running July 21–24 at the Xavier Center on the campus of Scranton Prep. Open to girls entering grades 4 through 8, the camp runs daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and offers a blend of individual instruction and team-oriented play.

Campers will take part in daily skill stations designed around both offensive and defensive concepts, with opportunities to compete in 3-on-3, transition play, and full-court 5-on-5 games. Each session emphasizes development in a structured, competitive, and fun environment—with the goal of helping players return to their school teams as more complete contributors in the winter.

The camp operates with the belief that “great teams are made in the winter, but great players are made in the summer.”

Adding to the experience, each day will feature guest instruction from a college coach or player development trainer, offering campers a chance to learn from a variety of voices at the next level.

The camp is directed by Bob Beviglia, Head Girls’ Basketball Coach at Scranton Prep. Over the past decade, Beviglia has built the Classics into a perennial powerhouse, earning 8 Lackawanna League titles, 7 District 2 championships, 3 Lynett Tournament crowns, and three trips to the PIAA Final Four—most recently reaching the state championship game in 2024.

For young players looking to grow their game and compete at a high level, the Classics Girls Basketball Camp is a can’t-miss summer opportunity.
