Scranton, PA -- Allentown Central Catholic leaned on a deep scoring effort and a major career milestone to earn a 16-11 nonleague boys lacrosse win over Scranton Prep on Saturday at Loyola Field.

Senior midfielder James McCarthy delivered one of the day’s biggest moments, scoring his 100th career goal as part of a two-goal, two-assist outing. McCarthy became the latest Viking to join the program’s prestigious century club.

ACC (6-3) saw production from nine different players in a well-balanced offensive attack. Karestos and Mike Restino each tallied three goals, while McGorey and Farrell added two apiece. Additional goals came from Shoemaker, Baxter, Jack Restino, and Court. Karestos also contributed three assists to pace the offense.

Goalies Lamont (11 saves) and Burke (6 saves) combined for 17 stops to anchor the Vikings’ defensive stand.

Scranton Prep (5-4) put together a strong showing of its own, led by Brady Holmes, who scored four goals. Mackey Lynett and Braden McPartland each notched hat tricks, while James Toolan added a goal and two assists.

Goalkeeper James Stallman made 13 saves, keeping the Cavaliers within striking distance in a game full of momentum swings and offensive highlights.
