The Scranton Prep boys golf team capped off a flawless season in fitting fashion, capturing the Lackawanna League Championship with a decisive 295–340 victory over Riverside. The Cavaliers closed out their campaign with a perfect 15-0 record, leaving no doubt as to who rules the league this fall.
Leading the way was Cole Powell, the match medalist with a stellar 70, followed closely by Ben Boyanoski (72), Guy Rothery (76), Brendan Bell (77), Jack Pavuk (78), and Ben Walsh (81) — a true team effort that showcased Prep’s depth and consistency from top to bottom.
Next up for the Cavs is Team Districts on Monday, where they’ll take on Lake-Lehman at Elkview Country Club. With momentum and confidence on their side, Scranton Prep looks poised to continue its dominant run back to States.
Congratulations to the Cavaliers - champions, undefeated, and still swinging.
