Carbino Erupts in Fourth to Defeat Green Ridge in 12-6 Victory

Carbino exploded for seven runs in the fourth inning to pull away from Green Ridge and earn a 12-6 win in Sunday’s 8-9-10 All-Star matchup.
The game was tight early, with both teams trading blows in the first three innings. Wyatt Hanicak drew a bases-loaded walk to plate Carbino’s first run, while Green Ridge answered in the bottom half on a single by Leland K. In the second, Leo Heim gave Carbino a 2-1 lead with an RBI single before Green Ridge surged ahead with a three-run bottom half, capped by Alex C.’s two-run triple.
Carbino evened it in the third when Colton Perry stole home. Then came the breakthrough: in the top of the fourth, Aiden LaCoe doubled in a run, Liam Farrell crushed a two-RBI double, Leo Heim followed with a two-run single, Anthony Lantka added an RBI double, and Russell Fenton knocked in another on a groundout.
Carbino finished with 12 hits, led by Heim (2-for-3, 2 RBI), Farrell (2-for-2, 2 RBI), and Tyler Smolko (2-for-3, 2 R). They were aggressive on the bases all night, tallying 20 steals—Tyler Eremo led the charge with six, followed by Farrell and Lantka with three each.
On the mound, Carbino used a rotation of arms. Lantka started and struck out two over two innings. Connor McAfee, Heim, and Smolko closed it out, with Smolko delivering 1.1 scoreless frames to seal it.
Green Ridge stayed competitive with multi-hit games from Jordan V. (2-for-3, 2B, 2 R) and Leland K. (2-for-3, RBI). Alex C. led the team with three RBIs, and Jack W. reached base three times via walks. Green Ridge worked eight walks and stole eight bases in a balanced offensive effort.
William M. struck out seven over three innings for Green Ridge, but Carbino’s fourth-inning rally proved too much to overcome.
