As just a freshman at Lakeland High School, Bria Hill is already establishing herself as a multi-sport phenom. Competing in both track and soccer, Bria has quickly risen above expectations and often above older competition. She keeps a mature mindset, and work ethic well beyond her years.

In track, Bria’s resume is already impressive. She has been All-Region selection in the 4x400, 1st place in the 4x400 relay at districts, 2nd in the 400m, and 3rd in the long jump.
In soccer, she earned Second Team All-Conference honors, showing her versatility.

But for Bria, it’s not just talent, it’s training, confidence, and belief. She credits her ability to outperform older athletes to her dedication in practice and the mental discipline she’s worked hard to develop. Still, doubt has been part of her journey. Being one of the younger athletes, she admits to battling overthinking and questioning whether she truly belonged. But now, before every race, she repeats a powerful reminder: “God is within her, she will not fail.”

Her goals are set high for the coming seasons. She sets out to break the 1-minute mark in the 400m, win the 400m at districts, earn All-Region honors again in track, and earn First Team All-Conference in soccer.

Bria’s biggest inspiration is her older sister, Brooke Hill, a standout Lakeland athlete in her own right. Bria aims to follow in her footsteps, not just in performance, but as a positive role model in her school and community. She also credits Matt Flanagan, who’s helped shape her athletic foundation from a young age, and her mom, her constant supporter, for traveling long hours to cheering from the sidelines, to making sure Bria always has the tools she needs to succeed.

Academically, Bria is just as impressive. A 4.0 GPA student enrolled in all honors courses, she balances a demanding athletic schedule with involvement in various school activities, showing that discipline and drive carry through every aspect of her life.
