Blue Devils Hit Reset, Handle Business vs Honesdale Ahead of Holiday Run

Old Forge didn’t treat Saturday night like a makeup game, they treated it like a message.

Hosting Honesdale in a rescheduled Division II matchup, the Blue Devils jumped out fast and never looked back, cruising to a 66–41 victory that felt equal parts statement and reset.

Entering the night at 3–2, Old Forge had already been tested. A preseason tournament loss to Wilkes-Barre Area. A tight, three-point setback against an unbeaten Valley View squad at The Den. No panic, just lessons.

Saturday was about stacking positives.

The Blue Devils blitzed Honesdale from the opening tip, racing to a 26–8 first-quarter lead behind pace, pressure, and presence inside. That presence belonged to Logan Fanning, who once again set the tone with a physical, all-around performance that impacted every possession.

Fanning finished with 23 points, but the box score doesn’t stop there. The senior center also added seven rebounds, five blocks, and four assists, anchoring the paint while keeping Old Forge’s offense flowing.

From there, the Blue Devils played downhill.

Old Forge carried a 46–18 halftime advantage, rotated freely, and continued to defend without letting Honesdale find rhythm. Even as the Hornets settled in during the second half, the outcome was never in doubt.

Cam Krushnowski knocked down four triples on his way to 14 points, stretching the floor and punishing help defense. Cameron Parker filled the stat sheet with 13 points and seven assists, orchestrating the offense and making sure the right guys ate.

The result? Balance. Control. Confidence.

For Honesdale, Levi Martin led the way with 13 points, while Jacob Ramos and Carter Schweighofer chipped in seven and eight, respectively. The Hornets showed fight, particularly after halftime, but Old Forge’s early surge proved too much to overcome.

Now, the focus shifts forward.

Old Forge will turn its attention to a December 23rd matchup with Mountain View, before opening play in the Anthony D. “Badger” Marseco Tournament they’ll host beginning December 27th. The opener? A juicy 8 p.m. tilt against an undefeated Wyoming Area squad riding high out of the WVC.

Tested early. Tuned up late.

Old Forge looks ready for what’s next.
