Lake-Lehman erupted for six runs in the bottom of the third inning and never looked back, taking down Tunkhannock 10-4 in a dominant home win Friday afternoon.
After trading early runs, the Black Knights broke the game wide open with a third-inning offensive explosion. Andrew Morris led the charge, going 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs and two RBIs. Sam Finarelli added a clutch 2-RBI single, and Jake Evans went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and one driven in.
Devon Albee contributed a pair of RBIs, while Tanner Evans chipped in two hits, a walk, and a run scored to keep the pressure on Tunkhannock’s defense.
On the mound, Fionn Ellis started and earned the win, tossing four innings and allowing four runs—three earned—on five hits while striking out two. Evans shut the door in relief, holding the Tigers scoreless over the final three innings and collecting three strikeouts.
Tunkhannock’s offense showed early signs of life with runs in the first, second, and fourth, including RBI hits from Ethan Dominick and Hunter Gilroy, but couldn’t keep pace after Lake-Lehman’s big third inning. The Tigers struggled to string together rallies against Evans down the stretch.
With the win, Lake-Lehman continues to assert itself as a team to watch in the Wyoming Valley Conference, showing both offensive firepower and bullpen depth in Friday’s complete team effort.
