Elk Lake continued its dominant spring with another offensive explosion, overwhelming Mountain View 13-2 on Friday afternoon in Dimock.

Senior Noah Gesford was the heartbeat of the Black Knights’ offense, going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored and five RBIs, including a bases-clearing triple to highlight a six-run second inning. Elk Lake jumped out early with four runs in the first and added three more in the third to seize total control before the game settled into silence.

Brayden Miller got the start and held Mountain View in check over three innings, striking out five and allowing just two hits and one unearned run. Gesford also took the mound in relief, tossing two solid innings with one hit and one unearned run allowed.

Cohen Orlandini chipped in with a two-run single, Logan Ayotte added an RBI, and Austin Brown contributed three runs as a courtesy runner. Elk Lake racked up 11 hits and saw eight different players reach base.

Mountain View struck for a run in the first and another in the fourth but couldn’t mount a serious rally. Jackson Gesford had a pair of hits and Ziggy Bradford scored once, but the visitors were held to just three hits total.

On the mound, Hudson Bain and Jackson Gesford struggled to contain Elk Lake’s bats, allowing 13 runs on 10 hits combined in just over four innings of work.

With the win, Elk Lake improves to 9-1 on the season, showcasing one of the most consistent lineups in the region. Mountain View drops to 4-6, still seeking stability as the season progresses.

Elk Lake’s next game is yet to be announced, but if the bats stay hot, they’ll be a tough team for anyone to slow down.
