In an exciting evening filled with both competition and community support, Berwick came out on top, overpowering MMI during Coaches vs. Cancer Night. While MMI fought hard in the first half, Berwick's defensive pressure and offensive depth proved too much to handle as the game progressed. The matchup between Berwick and MMI started off with a sense of excitement, as MMI held their ground in the first half. The game was tight, with both teams showing their strengths early on. However, Berwick’s defense and offensive firepower eventually took over, leading to a decisive 60-31 victory over MMI.

The first quarter was an even battle, with both teams exchanging leads and fighting for momentum. MMI came out with intensity, matching Berwick shot for shot, and the quarter ended in a 10-10 tie. While MMI was able to keep pace initially, it became clear that Berwick’s depth and scoring ability were going to be hard to contain over the course of the game.

As the game progressed into the second quarter and beyond, Berwick's defense began to impose itself. The Bulldogs tightened up, limiting MMI’s opportunities and forcing turnovers. Offensively, Berwick spread the wealth, with multiple players contributing to the scoring.

Kaden Hickman was the standout scorer for Berwick, finishing with 16 points, leading the charge on both ends of the floor. Noah Marquez provided a strong supporting role, dropping 14 points, while William Hanson added 12. Julian Howie contributed 9 points, rounding out a well-balanced offensive effort for Berwick.

Despite strong individual performances, MMI couldn’t maintain the pace. Nick Puntages was the high scorer for MMI with 13 points. Nate Kringe added 8 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Berwick’s suffocating defense and high-powered offense. MMI struggled to create clean looks as Berwick’s pressure continued to mount in the second half.

By the time the final buzzer sounded, Berwick had taken control, finishing with a comfortable 60-31 victory. The second half saw Berwick extend their lead, ultimately outscoring MMI by a large margin. MMI's early promise in the first half simply wasn't enough to withstand Berwick's all-around performance.

For Berwick, it was a well-rounded effort that saw multiple players stepping up in key moments. On the other hand, MMI will have to regroup and figure out how to address their offensive struggles moving forward.

While Berwick’s victory was impressive, they’ll look to build on this momentum in future games. Their balanced attack, combined with the defensive effort, makes them a formidable team in their league. MMI, on the other hand, will need to adjust and refine their game plan to stay competitive in upcoming contests.

Berwick’s defense and offensive depth were simply too much for MMI to handle. Despite a strong start from MMI, Berwick’s eventual dominance was clear in the second half as they cruised to a 60-31 win.
