Berwick stayed unbeaten in dominant fashion, pulling away for a 35-13 win over Wyoming Area in a clash of two teams that entered Friday night without a loss. The Bulldogs improved to 6-0, while the Warriors slipped to 5-1.

The Bulldogs wasted no time setting the tone. Quarterback Brady Cleaver broke loose for a 51-yard touchdown on the opening drive and later added a 13-yard run in the first quarter to make it 14-0. Wyoming Area answered before the break when Jack Gravine connected with Luke Kopetchny on an 89-yard strike, trimming the deficit to 14-6 at halftime.

Berwick took command in the third quarter. Ty’Meere Wilkerson powered in from three yards out, and moments later, a fumble recovery set up Gavin Galutia’s 43-yard touchdown run. That quick swing stretched the lead to 28-6.

The Warriors found the end zone again in the fourth when Gravine hit Josh Mruk for a 31-yard touchdown, but Wilkerson put the game out of reach with a 49-yard scoring run to close the night.

Berwick’s ground game proved to be the difference. The Bulldogs piled up 349 rushing yards, with Wilkerson carrying 29 times for 206 yards and two touchdowns. Cleaver chipped in 85 rushing yards and two scores, while Galutia added 45 yards and a touchdown.

Gravine kept Wyoming Area in the game through the air, throwing for 197 yards and two touchdowns on six completions. Kopetchny was his top target, hauling in three passes for 150 yards and a score. Mruk added 35 yards and a touchdown catch, while Nick Ciampi led the rushing effort with 52 yards.

The win solidifies Berwick’s spot at the top of the conference standings, handing Wyoming Area its first setback of the season
