The Mid Valley girls soccer program is inviting the community to come together this week for a special cause with its annual Coaches vs. Cancer “Rally in the Valley” event.
The week begins Thursday night when the Spartanettes host rival Valley View in a 6:00 p.m. varsity matchup under the lights at Mid Valley Stadium. The rivalry energy will set the tone for a weekend of soccer, fundraising, and community support.
Saturday will be a full day of action from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., highlighted by youth games, junior high matchups, and capped off with a boys varsity game against Forest City at 5 p.m. Fans can enjoy great food, purchase event t-shirts, and take part in exciting basket raffles throughout the day.
Two major raffles headline the fundraising efforts. One prize offers an overnight stay at Camelback Resort with four passes to the Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark, valued at $500. Another winner will take home a 20-person Commissioners Box package to a Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders game, which includes 20 tickets for a luxury outing at PNC Field. Tickets for both raffles are available for $10 each.
From soccer to raffles to family fun, the Rally in the Valley event is more than just games—it is about standing together for a cause that touches so many lives. The Mid Valley girls soccer program encourages everyone to attend, support, and help make a difference.
