Crestwood put together a complete team performance on Tuesday night, earning a 12-6 victory over Selinsgrove behind a balanced offensive attack and dominant efforts at the faceoff X and in goal. The Comets set the tone early with a 3-2 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. The second quarter was evenly matched, with both teams scoring two goals each, but Crestwood exploded in the third, outscoring Selinsgrove 5-2 to take full control of the game. They closed out the final frame with a 2-0 advantage.
Senior Jack Augustine led the way with four goals and one assist, showcasing his offensive skill set and leadership. Ashton Amend added three goals, while Kevin Schlude delivered a strong all-around game with two goals and two assists. Logan Lawson also tallied two goals, but his presence at the faceoff circle was just as important, winning 14 of 20 faceoffs and keeping possession heavily in Crestwood’s favor. Gianni Piccolotti rounded out the scoring with one goal and two assists.
Selinsgrove’s scoring was led by Dressler, who finished with a hat trick and one assist. Crissinger added two goals, and Davis chipped in with one goal for the Seals. Defensively, Crestwood stood tall thanks to big plays from Brady Davidson, Allen Seifert, and Jacob Jeckell, who continually disrupted Selinsgrove’s offensive sets and forced key turnovers.
In goal, senior Ethan Zabroski was stellar once again, stopping 11 shots and allowing just six goals. The night was extra special for Zabroski, who recorded his 600th career save in the process. On the opposite end, Selinsgrove goalie Atwood reached a milestone of his own with his 300th career save during the game.
With this win, Crestwood continues to assert themselves as a force, with depth on both ends of the field and strong veteran leadership.
