Ariella Bell delivered a historic performance Thursday afternoon, tossing a five-inning perfect game as the North Pocono Lady Trojans shut out West Scranton 10-0. Bell faced the minimum 15 batters, didn’t allow a single base runner, and struck out nine to complete the rare feat.

The Freshman right-hander was in complete control from the first pitch to the last, needing just 66 pitches—44 for strikes—to seal the perfect outing. Backed by error-free defense and strong run support, Bell’s dominance set the tone for a complete team effort.

At the plate, Riley Grambo fueled the offense with a 3-for-3 showing. She scored three runs, drove in one, and stole two bases—including a swipe of home plate in the third inning. Grambo singled in each of her three at-bats, igniting rallies and keeping pressure on the defense.

North Pocono jumped out early with five runs in the opening frame. Alyssa Lynch got things started with an RBI double, followed by Grambo’s run-scoring single. Paige Dymek delivered the big blow with a three-run double to deep center to break the inning open.

The Trojans tallied 13 hits in total, spreading the offense throughout the lineup. Amelia Bell helped her own cause, going 2-for-2 with two runs scored and a walk. Cameron Forgione added a 2-for-3 day, and Ellie Ambrosecchia drove in two. Olivia Charles and Gabriella Carra each chipped in with an RBI, while Anna Havenstrite and Isabella Forgione contributed with stolen bases.

North Pocono stole six bases on the day and played flawless defense behind Bell. Carra anchored the field with a team-high five chances without a single miscue.

West Scranton was held hitless and struck out nine times in the loss. S. DeLuca pitched all five innings for the Invaders, allowing 10 earned runs on 13 hits, walking five and striking out two.

North Pocono looks to stay hot when they host Delaware Valley on Monday.
