Abington Heights Dominates Lewisburg in Home Lacrosse Victory, 16-7

Clarks Summit, PA — Abington Heights boys lacrosse came out firing and never looked back in a commanding 16-7 win over Lewisburg on their home turf. The Comets controlled the pace from the opening whistle, putting together a balanced attack and strong defensive showing to move to a statement win early in the season.

The Comets jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first quarter and built on it with a dominant 5-goal second period, taking an 8-1 lead into halftime. Lewisburg attempted a comeback with a 5-goal third quarter, but Abington Heights matched them goal for goal before closing strong with another 3-goal fourth quarter while holding their opponents to just one.

Gavin Anders led all scorers with a standout performance, tallying 5 goals and 3 assists for Abington Heights. Evan Davis contributed 4 goals, while Rodman Azar added 2 goals and 2 assists in the effort. Gavin Lindsay (2g, 1a), Logan Fedor (1g, 1a), Thatcher Loss (1g), and Christopher Bohn (1g) rounded out a well-distributed scoring effort. Logan Bohn added 2 assists.

In the net, Colton Naholnik delivered a strong showing with 4 saves and no goals allowed in 24 minutes of play. Sean Beck closed out the game with 5 saves.

Lewisburg’s offense was led by Quin Michaels, who notched 4 goals and 1 assist. Mitch Lorenz added 1 goal and 1 assist, while Danon Albakof and Teddy Hohmuth each chipped in a goal. Goalie Tyler Downs made 8 saves in the loss.

Abington Heights showed their depth and balance in the win, with eight players registering points and a stout defense that set the tone early. The Comets will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup as they continue their strong start to the season.
