The 91st Annual Dream Game returns on July 23 at John Henzes Veterans Memorial Stadium, showcasing the best senior football talent from the City and County squads. This year’s game will be coached by West Scranton’s Jake Manetti for the City team and Old Forge’s Mike Schuback for the County.
The City roster is loaded with versatile playmakers, including Scranton Prep’s dynamic athlete Treyvon Dickey and North Pocono’s reliable kicker Sam Magnotta. Lackawanna Trail’s Demitrius Douglas brings power and speed in the backfield, while Wallenpaupack’s Drew Kiesendahl provides dual-threat capabilities at quarterback.
On the County side, all eyes will be on Valley View’s Zach Cwalinski under center and Riverside’s standout tight end Richie Kostoff, who brings a physical edge on both sides of the ball. The backfield duo of Nick Kucharski (Valley View) and Josh Vinton (Western Wayne) gives the County a tough, downhill rushing attack. The defensive line boasts size and experience with multiple Delaware Valley and Carbondale trench warriors.
More than just a football game, the Dream Game continues to be a community tradition that honors the legacy of local high school football while raising funds for injured athletes. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., and fans can expect another fierce, pride-filled battle under the lights.
