SCRANTON, Pa. -- The Lackawanna League’s top graduating senior softball players will take the field one final time as part of the 2025 Field of Dreams Softball All-Star Game, scheduled for Sunday, June 22 at 6 p.m. at the University of Scranton’s Magis Field.
The game is being held in partnership with Lackawanna County, the Lackawanna County Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Bill Howerton Strike Out Cancer Initiative, and the University of Scranton.
This year’s rosters feature 34 seniors representing 18 different schools. Players were nominated by their coaches and selected through a vote of Lackawanna League coaching staffs. The athletes will be divided into two teams—Team White and Team Purple—based on traditional league alignments and school representation.
Gates open at 5 p.m., and admission is $5, with all proceeds benefiting the Bill Howerton Strike Out Cancer Initiative, which supports local cancer patients and families across Northeastern Pennsylvania.
The game is part of a larger series of Field of Dreams All-Star events designed to recognize student-athletes across the Lackawanna League while also contributing to a charitable cause.
