ARCHBALD, PA — Valley View standout Eva Canevari has officially committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Temple University. Canevari, a key player for the Cougars’ girls’ soccer team, signed her National Letter of Intent surrounded by family, coaches, and school officials during a celebratory ceremony at Valley View High School.
Canevari, who wore the No. 17 jersey for the Cougars, has been a vital contributor to the team throughout her high school career. Her leadership on and off the field has earned her recognition as one of the top players in the area and a sought-after recruit for Temple University’s women’s soccer program.
Joining Eva at the signing table were her parents, Russ and Erica Canevari, and her sister, Ila Canevari. The family beamed with pride as Eva put pen to paper, officially becoming an Owl. School officials present to celebrate the occasion included Assistant Soccer Coach Renee Pilch, Assistant Principal Kyle Colachino, Athletic Director Chris Killiany, Guidance Counselor Mia Wascura, and Principal Larry Pegula.
Temple University competes in NCAA Division I as a member of the American Athletic Conference. Eva is expected to bring her competitive spirit, technical skills, and work ethic to the Owls as they aim for continued success in a challenging conference.
Canevari’s signing is not only a testament to her talent but also a reflection of Valley View’s strong soccer program. Her teammates, coaches, and supporters look forward to watching her excel at the next level.
