Valley View Extends Winning Streak to Nine with Commanding Victory Over Wallenpaupack, 34-13

Valley View’s relentless momentum continued as the Cougars clinched their ninth consecutive win, overpowering Wallenpaupack 34-13. The game showcased Valley View’s formidable defense, which snagged three critical interceptions, and the dynamic play of Zach Cwalinski and Preston Reed, who each delivered two touchdowns.

Setting the tone early, Jeffrey Wasilchak intercepted Wallenpaupack quarterback Drew Kiesendahl on the opening play, giving Valley View prime field position. Just four plays later, Cwalinski punched in a 1-yard touchdown to establish a 7-0 lead.

In the second quarter, the Cougars’ defensive prowess struck again when Jack Kondrat snagged a tipped pass, setting up another Valley View drive. Reed capitalized with a powerful 28-yard run into the end zone, pushing the Cougars ahead 14-0.

Wallenpaupack managed to respond just before halftime, with Kiesendahl securing a 6-yard touchdown on a 4th down play, closing the gap to 14-6 as the second quarter concluded.

However, Valley View quickly reclaimed control in the third quarter. On their first drive of the second half, Cwalinski dashed 8 yards for another touchdown, extending their lead. Wallenpaupack’s offense responded with a thrilling 93-yard touchdown pass from Kiesendahl to Michael Passenti, pulling within 20-13.

Valley View remained unfazed and took over in the fourth quarter. Reed found the end zone again with an 11-yard touchdown run, and Nick Kucharski added a highlight-reel 40-yard touchdown dash to seal the victory. Ben Evans’ interception of Kiesendahl in the closing minutes ensured the Cougars’ decisive win.

Kucharski led Valley View’s ground attack with 128 yards on 11 carries, while Reed added 103 yards on 13 carries.

Valley View will move on to play Crestwood Friday @ Valley View 7PM
