Valley View Edges Mid Valley in Five-Set Thriller
Valley View secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Mid Valley in a back-and-forth matchup to maintain their push for the District 2 Class 3A playoffs. The Cougars won by set scores of 14-25, 25-16, 25-20, 10-25, and 15-12 in a match filled with momentum swings.
Cora Gallagher and Hanarra Timas led the offensive charge for Valley View, each recording 10 kills. Reilly Sprague added nine kills of her own, while Madison Hallock contributed significantly with 13 service points and an impressive 27 assists. Layla Marino also shined, delivering 11 aces, 21 service points, and four digs to help secure the win.
Despite the close contest, Valley View’s resilience helped them prevail and stay on track for postseason qualification.
