Valley View Cougars Wins Against Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack

In a thrilling showdown on Friday night, the Valley View Cougars edged out the Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack with a score of 25-20, marking their second consecutive victory of the season. While the performance may not have been overwhelming, the Cougars displayed resilience and teamwork, ultimately leading them to triumph.

Zach Cwalinski emerged as a standout player, rushing for an impressive 110 yards and a touchdown, while also contributing significantly in the passing game with 58 yards and two touchdown passes which included a 29-yard pass to Beyon Mclean. This game not only showcased his versatility but also marked a new career high in rushing yards. RB Preston Reed complemented Cwalinski's performance, adding another 107 rushing yards and a touchdown to the Cougars' total.
The Valley View defense also played a pivotal role in securing the victory, particularly the secondary, which made a strong impact by intercepting three passes throughout the game. Brady Skeen, Gianni Marino, and Tim Ulkoski each contributed with key interceptions. Marino, who was instrumental on both sides of the ball with a total of nine tackles, two of which were for a loss, in addition to his interception.
With this win, Valley View improves to a 2-1 record, positioning themselves favorably as the season progresses. Meanwhile, the Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack now find themselves at 1-2 and will look to bounce back on the road against Dallas, a team currently grappling with a three-game losing streak.
