The Lady Rangers faced a tough challenge on the road Monday night, falling to Wyoming Seminary Blue Knights in a hard fought battle. While Ashlyn Hermanofski led the way for the Rangers with 17 points, it was Ella Stambaugh who proved to be the difference maker, scoring 27 points to propel Sem to a 49-32 victory.
Rangers' standout defender Ava Ruckle was tasked with guarding Stambaugh, and she played tough, physical defense throughout the game. Despite Ruckle's best efforts to limit her scoring opportunities, Stambaugh's offensive prowess proved too much to overcome. Whether attacking the basket or hitting key shots from the perimeter, including six 3-pointers, Stambaugh consistently found ways to put points on the board, ensuring her team maintained control of the game.
While the Lady Rangers fought hard, the relentless play of Stambaugh proved decisive. The Lady Rangers will look to bounce back tonight against Milton. Wyoming Sem is 1-0 on the season with hopes to keep it rolling on the road against Old Forge on Thursday.
