Ashlyn Moore: Scranton Prep’s Under-the-Radar D1 Talent

Scranton Prep’s Ashlyn Moore is a rising star in the Class of 2025, and it’s not hard to see why. With a strong, athletic frame and a versatile skill set, Moore has become a key player for her team, showcasing her ability to dominate on both ends of the court.

Defensively, Ashlyn’s physicality allows her to guard multiple positions, whether it’s a quick guard on the perimeter or a bigger forward in the paint. Her combination of agility and strength makes her a coach’s dream, as she can switch defensive assignments without missing a beat.

On the offensive side, Moore is equally dangerous. Known for her ability to step out and knock down three-pointers at a high percentage, she adds another layer to Scranton Prep’s offense. Her smooth shooting stroke makes her a constant threat from beyond the arc, forcing defenses to adjust. And while her shot is lethal, her basketball IQ stands out as she smartly creates opportunities for herself and her teammates, driving to the basket or making the perfect pass.

Ashlyn’s talent has not gone unnoticed. Ellonya “Tiny” Green, a former associate head coach at Division I schools Fairleigh Dickinson, Hofstra, and St. Bonaventure, and a coach who has guided numerous players into the NBA and European leagues, has sung her praises. With experience coaching in 7 NCAA tournaments, Green knows top-tier talent when he sees it, and he’s been vocal about Ashlynn’s potential. His endorsement is yet another signal that Moore is destined for the Division 1 level.

Despite her immense talent, Ashlyn has flown somewhat under the radar, largely due to Scranton’s location. But make no mistake—she has all the tools to be a Division 1 player. Her combination of athleticism, shooting, and defensive versatility makes her a prospect that college programs will soon be chasing.

As her high school career progresses, expect Ashlynn Moore to make a name for herself on the national stage. This D1 talent is just getting started.
