A dedicated athlete known for her tireless work ethic, Switzer made waves in high school playing both lacrosse and field hockey, leading the Wyoming Area Field Hockey team with impressive skills and strong senior leadership. With high hopes for her final year, the team was primed to contend for both a district and potentially a state championship. However, just two minutes into a preseason scrimmage, disaster struck as Switzer suffered a torn ACL, sidelining her for her entire senior season.
Despite the team finishing strong, the absence of their star player was felt, serving as a tough blow to their championship aspirations.
