Lady Vikes Dominate at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course

RIVERSIDE GOLF:
The competition was decisively defeated by the Lady Vikes at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course! With an impressive team score of 138, they secured the 1st place trophy at the Coaches’ Open, marking the beginning of their season with a perfect 5-0 record and placing them at the top of the Lackawanna League Girls AA golf standings.
Beyond winning the team title, the Lady Vikes also earned individual accolades.
Freshman Frankie Wincovitch made her mark in the competitive golf scene impressively, finishing with a 43 to take home the medalist honors for the lowest score in the tournament. Senior Captain Ella Sottile, in her first match of the season, tied for 5th place overall with a score of 47. Additionally, Freshman Raigan Monahan finished 7th with a score of 48, while Junior Captain Brooke Kalteski and Sophomore Emma Bisignani both tied for 8th with scores of 49. Notable performances were also turned in by Kylie Zabriski, Grace Munley, and Kat O’Hora in her first tournament! Placing 5 girls in the top 10 is a remarkable feat! Frankie recorded a birdie on the 2nd hole, and Ella had one on the 8th.
