Madison Hedglin, an exceptionally talented athlete from Dallas High School, has made significant strides in her running career so far. However, her story still has more to reveal, especially with the AA state championship Cross Country meet scheduled for Saturday, November 2nd, and the upcoming track season in the spring. For Madison, running goes beyond being just a sport; it embodies a genuine passion that feels innate. In recent years, she has incorporated strength training at FAME Dallas into her routine to enhance her speed and endurance.
Her achievements so far are quite remarkable. In her freshman year, she became the district champion and placed 15th in the state. In her sophomore year, she won the conference championship and finished 6th in the state. As a junior, she excelled by winning both the Cliff Robbins and Paul Short championships, earning conference and district titles, and qualifying for the state competitions in cross country and track, where she placed 8th in the indoor track state finals. Now in her senior year, she has already claimed the titles of Cliff Robbins champion, conference champion, and district champion, successfully qualifying for the state meet in cross country once again.
This Saturday, her journey continues as she stands among the top-ranked runners for the AA meet, ready to achieve even greater successes.
