Cali White Shines as MAC Women's Swimmer of the Week: A Record-Setting Performance for Misericordia University

Cali White originates from Montgomery, New York, where she attended Valley Central High School, achieving the honor of a three-time state qualifier and becoming an OICAA champion. During her freshman year at Misericordia, she amassed an outstanding track record, triumphing in the 200 Free (2:02.90) against Arcadia, the 500 Free (5:36.55), as well as the 400 Free Relay (3:53.55) while competing against Hood and Lycoming. She also emerged victorious in the 200 Medley Relay (1:54.07) and the 100 Free (56.02) when facing off against Scranton, clocking in an impressive time of 8:07.54 in the 800 Free Relay at the Cougar Splash, and securing additional wins in the 400 Medley Relay (4:11.66), 200 Free (2:01.03), 100 Free (55.70), and the 400 Free Relay (3:49.66) against Marywood and Wilkes. In addition, she claimed first place in the 100 Free (55.97) and the 500 Free (5:32.41) while competing against Ursinus, as well as winning the 100 Free (55.73) and the 200 Free Relay (1:44.81) versus Widener and Ramapo. She continued her streak of success by dominating the 200 Medley Relay (1:49.62) and the 200 Free (2:00.63) when facing Albright and Messiah. Throughout the season, she participated in all nine meets.

During
 the off-season, her training objectives centerearound increasing her strength and taking the necessary steps to break the 200 Free record at Misericordia. Recently, Cali White was honored as the MAC Women's Swimmer of the Week after an outstanding performance last Saturday, where she triumphed in two individual events and contributed to two relays during MU's narrow 132-130 victory over Scranton, their sole meet of the week. She not only set a pool record in the 200 Free with an impressive time of 1:59.40, but she also claimed the first spot in the 100 Free with a time of 54.64, both of which rank as the leading times in the MAC this season. Additionally, she played a crucial role in two winning relays, including the decisive 200 Free Relay that secured the victory, and also participated in the successful 400 Medley Relay that initiated the meet.
