The Wyoming Valley Conference (WVC) Division 1 basketball regular season and district playoff has officially come to a close, and with it comes the announcement of the league’s top performers. Wilkes-Barre Area’s Dave Jannuzzi was named the Division 1 MVP, an honor that comes as no surprise given his dominant season.

On Senior Night at Greater Nanticoke Area, Holy Redeemer showcased their resilience with a 57-46 victory, overcoming a late surge from the Trojans. Megan Albrecht led all scorers with 20 points, shooting an efficient 66.7% from the field. Despite Nanticoke’s fourth-quarter rally, clutch performances from Gillian Parsons and strong free-throw shooting sealed the win for the Lady Royals.

Off the field, Madison excels academically, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA and earning Honors with Distinction, proving that her success extends far beyond athletics.
